Danny Welsh Volunteer of the Year Award

The Danny Welsh Volunteer of the Year Award is a new, annual award that will be presented to one volunteer who represents dedication and commitment to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB).
It is named after one of the GVFB’s long serving volunteers, Danny Welsh. In 2016 Danny was awarded The National Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers which was presented to him by the Governor General’s office.
The Danny Welsh Volunteer of the Year Award is now accepting nominations by other volunteers, members, staff and anyone in the community. Nomination Deadline is July 31, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
If you know of a volunteer that you think deserves this award, please fill out the Volunteer of Year Award Nomination Form.
Please submit the completed nomination form by July 31, incomplete forms and those submitted after the deadline will not be considered for this award.
A committee made up of the Volunteer Program Coordinator (VPC) and a panel of up to three individuals will determine the recipient of the Danny Welsh Volunteer of the Year Award.
Any volunteers that have been nominated for this award will be contacted by the VPC to confirm consent.
The recipient will be presented with the award on September 21st, 2017.
