How to Access Food
We are here to help. The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society provides a two-day food supplement to thousands of people each week by way of 15 depots located throughout Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. In order to receive assistance, a valid piece of government-issued ID must be presented along with a piece of mail with a current address. If you live with anyone else at the same address, please bring ID for each person in the household.

- Citizenship Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- Birth Certificate
- First Nations Status Card (Certificate of Indian Status)
Food depot's may be visited once per week, excluding social assistance cheque week. Emergency food bags are also available to clients at our main office twice within a 12 month period.
Due to confidentiality and security reasons, we are unable to provide a list of our food distribution depots, however please contact the main office at 604.876.3601 and we will be happy to connect you with the location of the depot nearest to you.
