TELUS presents the Vancouver Santa Claus Parade
Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
Mark your calendars! The first Sunday in December is the official date of the TELUS presents the Vancouver Santa Claus Parade – December 3rd, 2017.
The parade is the largest Christmas parade celebrated in Western Canada. In the spirit of giving, the free, family-fun event is also one of the largest food and fundraising events for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and the CKNW Orphans’ Fund. It’s the perfect kick off to the holiday season!
At 12:00pm, the parade will begin at West Georgia Street and Broughton, travel east along West Georgia, turn south on Howe and finish at Howe and Davie.
THE PARADE at 12:00pm
This year’s Vancouver Santa Claus Parade will feature marching bands, dance troupes, festive floats and community groups, which entertain over 300,000 spectators. Each year, about 60 community and corporate entries and floats, 2,700 participants, and more than 300 volunteers converge on the streets of downtown Vancouver to produce this unforgettable event!
A very special part of the TELUS presents the Vancouver Santa Claus Parade is celebrating the “Spirit of Giving.” Each year, on parade day, volunteers collect non- perishable food items and monetary donations on behalf of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can purchase $3 worth of food! We are also thrilled to announce our new partnership with the CKNW Orphans’ Fund! If just 200 people donate $10 each, the CKNW Orphans’ Fund can send a child with special needs to speech therapy, tutoring, or even ensure they have custom hearing aids.

Each year, the parade encourages spectators to bring a monetary or food donation for the Food Bank. With the support of sponsors and parade spectators, the parade collects thousands of dollars and thousands of pounds of food for the numerous local families the Food Bank supports.
