Most Provinces have recorded an increase in Food Bank usage between March 2008-March 2009.  In British Columbia, there was a staggering increase of 15 percent. 

 

In the month of March 2009 alone, over 72,000 Canadians used a food bank for the first time.

In keeping with the true meaning of the Holiday season you can give gifts this year to friends and loved ones that feed and support the hungry in our community. Your generous financial donations made in the names of your friends and family members will support the ongoing, year–round work of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
